6th September 2009 Windsurfing: levington Wind Direction: west Wind Stength: 10-15kts Surf / Sea State: flat Air Temperature: ok Sea Temperature: ok Weather: ok Max Speed: 22 kts (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: not much didn't make it till 11.0 and the boys were going well on 7.5 and the wind was fresh. Thought of rigging the RS 9.8M but there was some good gusts so rigged 8.5M. had a couple of runs but no really planing and had to watch maker and roger trickle past me grinning - not good. I went back and launced the appollo, usain appollo, yes..no grins from maker or Roger now as I was blasting all over the place, although only managed 22kts. Bloody wind died with 3/4 hr tide left. I took so long packing 2 rigs I missed the leopardstown 3.50 and bet of the day - the brilliant "see the stars" pissed it for the 5th time. This is the only race I missed and should have won another £120 on a heavy bet - not good so for that reason I only saw 2 stars today |
